What Causes Tingling, Numbness Of Hands, Fingers In A Smoker?

i am a 39 year old male smoker. I wake up in the middle of the night with my hands and fingers tingling and numb some times aches. This will continue through out my sleep and in the day. As the day pass my hands and fingers feel better. What could be causing this. Smoking?

Ah, the location of the ends of limbs on both sides means it cannot be a pinched nerve (can't hit just the ends; can't hit both sides symmetrically) and can only be sick nerves. This can occur in a wide variety of things BUT most common is hyperventilation which changes the ionic composition of the blood and the nerves and they don't have the normal tone. This changes sensations and is felt as numbness.

it is one of the features associated with smoking.
it is due to the nicotine in cigarettes that affect the nerves.
better reduce its consumption.
adopting a good posture while sleeping also helps
