General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. The blood that come when coughing and clearing throat should be from your throat due to violent action during cough. It can be due ti infection in throat also. But better to rule out that it is not from lung.If you have a long standing cough for more than 2 week then it is better to do a TB test (Sputum AFB) also. In case of infection antibiotics will benefit you.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
