What Causes To Spit Lot Of Mucus, Hard Breathing With Indian Food?
If I eat Indian food, rice chappaties and a lambcurry, i chock so badly that I have to go to the bathroom. Not onlyto spit up a lot of mucus but then also some food. I can hardly breath and so I get panicked. It last about l5 min. my email is YYYY@YYYY
I understand that you are concerned by the incident of throwing up mucous and having difficulty breathing after taking spicy Indian food. The bringing out of mucous could be due to the gastric and esophageal irritation due to the spicy food. You also mentioned that you choked on the food. So, the difficulty in breathing could be due to aspiration of food material. Another possibility for the difficulty in breathing could be the panic itself. It is well known that during a panic attack, the person can have symptoms such as breathing difficulty, chest tightness, etc.
So, this doesn't appear to be a serious problem and you don't need to worry about it. However, if you are having persistent cough or wheezing or difficulty in breathing, then this could indicate an aspiration pneumonia, in which case you need to seek urgent medical attention.
