What Causes Tongue Swelling After A Small Surgery?

I had general anesthesia for a minimally invasive proceedure. At recovery room I said my right side of tongue looks and feels swollen. The left is fine. Its been about 15hrs since and my tongue got a bit more swollen.

I'm 5'4" and about 135.

I had a bit of water 6oz and about 8oz of iced decaf coffee with cream and sugar about 4.5 hrs before the proceedure. Is that a factor to my reaction?

No, it is temporary only. No need to worry at all. It will get settled down. Try to avoid too cold and too hot diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
