What Causes Tooth Sensitivity After Tonsillectomy?
I had my tonsils removed on wednesday of last week and since then my teeth have extremely sensitive. I cannot even touch a toothbrush to my teeth to brush them and if I eat anything that needs to be chewed it is extremely painful. I have seen other people complain about a toothache, but this is not a toothache, it is extreme sensitivity on every surface of my teeth.
hi.i understand your query.. tooth sensitivity is a common symptom felt after tonsillectomy which is due to referred pain that is tooth is not the source but because of shared nerve supply. You should take regular painkillers.Take softer foods and fluids. You should continue brushing. If the symptoms persist even after the recovery. Then you may visit the dentist. hope it helps.
