Pain in the mouth can often be pain that has been referred from the ear.
The fact that you are experiencing ear pain along with sore throat may imply that you may have an infection. Infections of the throat are often viral and can be associated with ear infections (normally bacterial).
There are throat lozenges or sprays that may help with the throat pain, available over the counter.
Your doctor would conduct an ENT examination to determine the source of the pain.
I hope this helps
