What Causes Traces Of Leukocytes In Urine?

A nurse explained a recent urinalysis as showing bacteria that was not growing. Using reagent strips, I have found trace leukocytes consistenly for a week. If bacteria are not growing, why are they in urine, and is that consistent with trace leukocytes? (All other factors, such as nitrites, S.G., blood, PH) are within normal range/negative.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have some urinary tract infection. You should go for urine microscopic examination. If it shows pus cells then you should take a course of antibiotics. Levofloxacin or norfloxacin can be helpful. It is prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
