What Causes Trembling Of Hands While Being Diagnosed With Asthma?

Hi, I have astama since a very long time and use inhalers to keep it in control. Off late I have noticed that both my hands tremble almost continuosly. It becomes very difficult to hold a disposable paper glass without spilling some of its content on the floor. Recently it became so worse that i was not able to sign my name... please advice me on this.

Hello.

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make following suggestions for you:

1. As you are having tremors, first of all I would suggest you to get your medications reviewed by your treating doctor.

This is because many medications used for asthma - salbutamol, levosalbutamol, theophylline, formoterol, salmeterol, etc can cause tremors as side effects.

With appropriate reviewing your medications and make appropriate changes, it may be possible to reduce tremors.

2. I would also suggest you stress reduction measures if stress is a significant issue for you.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish you the best of the health.

Thank you & Regards.
