General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Trichomonasis is an STD caused by trichomonas vaginalis. Females are usually affected. Males are mostly carriers but also can cause irritation on tip of penis. In case of infection of one partner with this both should be treated with antibiotic metronidazole. Swabs should be taken from both of you vaginal and from penis. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
