I recently have experienced a sudden severe headache lasting several days, feel constantly fatigued, involuntary facial twitching beginning at the ends and continuing down to the mouth, and now I seem to have trouble concentrating and remembering anything. I am only in my twenties.
Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern.
Your symptoms may be caused by an infection or an intracranial lesion. Anxiety and psychological stress can also mimic a similar clinical scenario.
I recommend you to consult with the neurologist for a careful physical examination for neurological signs and perform some tests like a routine blood test for infection and a sinus xray.
A brain CT scan may be necessary to exclude any possible lesion in the pontocerebellary angle.
Hope to have been helpful!
