What Causes Twitching In Hands And Legs Of A Premature Baby?
My baby girl was born 2 mths premature, she was born Nov 14 2010. Her due date was estimated at January 19th 2011. She s at home now and her doctor said she s fine, but lately I notice her hands and legs shaking at the same time almost like ( twiching) .

Hi,
If the twitching occurs only during sleep, then no need to worry. We call this as benign sleep myoclonus, which usually doesn't require any treatment.
But if the child has twitching of all limbs when awake with associated head drop / irritable cry, then we need to evaluate the child.
