Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, the outside part of my right forearm has been twitching for the past month now and I cannot figure out why. For about 15-30 seconds, multiple times an hour, the muscle will start to twitch. The twitching is noticeable to the naked eye as it looks like it is pulsating. I read that this could be from dehydration, but I drink a good amount of water throughout the day. What could this possible muscle twitching be and how do I stop it?
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a pinched nerve, as the twitching is localized only in this region. I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and performing nerve conduction tests and a cervical spine X-ray study.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
