Hi, I am a 45 year old female experiencing what appears to be muscle twitching on the right side of my head near the top of my ear. I also have a slight headache. My heartrate seems pretty steady at around 66 bpm but I do have hypertension which I take the lowest dosage of medicine (hydrochlorothiazide?) to keep under control. What could be causing this twitching and headache and should I seek medical care?

What Causes Twitching Sensation On The Head?
Hi, Unilateral temporal region headache may be due to temporal arteritis/migraine headaches or ear infection or anaemia etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks if you. Use tablet Naprosyn twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your neuro physician he will examine and treat you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
