Welcome to hcm,
Short answer may be because of urinary tract infections needed some basic investigations to be done
Detailed answer the fowl smelling frequent urination is most probably due to urinary tract infections in elderly females.but there are other conditions such as prostate enlargement can also cause frequent urination. So do an USG prostate. Urine analysis and urine culture and sensitivity are to be done for confirmation of the diagnosis. Please review after these results and it will help in a proper treatment
Hope this explains
