What Causes Unequal Leg Length Leading To Difficulty Walking?
I am a woman aged 52 suffering from achondroplasia. I have noticed that gradually my right leg has shorten. There is a difference of 1 inch in height compared to left leg. I use only my right leg to climb stairs as my left leg does not support in climbing stairs. When I climb the stairs, after 2-3 hours the right hip joint starts paining from the back side, and I feel uncomfortable while sitting on chair. what should I do in this case
You may see a physical therapist and wear raised sole heel in shorter side, use arm stick in opposite hand to take weightoff the affected side and to avoid pelvic tilting.consult orthopedic surgeon for further guidance
