What Causes Upset Stomach And Heightened Sense Of Smell?

Hey doc. My friend is told me she has an upset stomach and a hightened sense of smell. Loves my cologn but today said she could smell it from far away and other smells. She also has a flaky skin spot on her cheek if that helps. It s very hot out as well.

Hi. Since it is hot outside , your friend might have got the nasal mucosal shrinkage so the the Olfactory nerves ( meant for smell sensation ) must have got well normally exposed hence a heightened sense of small, or you might have applied more than usual Cologne.
Stomach upset may not be related to the sense of smell. Since it is hot out there, it is possible that she has got mild gastroenteritis , may be due to outside food or so.
If the symptoms worsen, consult a Doctor to get a proper examination and prescription based Antibiotics and supportive treatment.
