What Causes Upset Stomach Post A Laparoscopic Abdominal Surgery?

I had abdominal surgery removal of two hernia laproscopic this was almost two weeks ago but for the last time 7 days my tolerance in food has given me upset stomach ,which causes me to have diarrhea. My surgeon states this has nothing to do with surgery. But i am concern.
