Possible causes for incontinence are
1. Alzheimer's disease.
2. Chronic laxative abuse.
3. Constipation.
4. Diarrhea.
5. Muscle damage during surgery or delivery, etc.
6. Nerve damage in prolonged straining.
7. Rectal malignancy or rectal prolapse etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Use adult diapers, check for electrotechnical status.
