Over the last day or so I have noticed that my urine smells like male cat pee. I take a number of medications and supplements but the only one that I have added in the last week is furosemide and potassium (they are prescribed by my doctor for as needed use). I have been taking them because my feet have been swollen for the past two weeks with fluid retention. Have used these same meds in the past but don't remember this as a side affect.\
Certain medication may cause urine foul smell while passing. as poor hygiene and uncleanness would cause bad odor.Smelly urine usually indicates urinary tract infection.
if you suffer from any chronic disease like diabetes with uncontrolled sugar may lead to UTI and that may cause foul smell. your current medication may be reason too.
kindly do urine routine, culture and Renal function function test to fix this issues.
