What Causes Uterine Contractions And Back Pain During Pregnancy?

I am 32 weeks pregnant and have been having contractions all day fairly spaced apart. I have had loose stool, headache, back pain, and the baby has not been moving as much as he normally does.
I was wondering if I am in real labour or just having braxton hicks contractions and if i should go to the hospital or not?

Hi,

It could be false labour pains or preterm labour or hypertension in pregnancy.
It is best that you visit a hospital and get yourself thoroughly evaluated, including Pulse, Blood pressure ,Abdominal examination. Also get fetal heart checked by ultrasound and cardiotocography(CTG).
Also get an internal examination done to know the status of the cervix.

If you are in labour consider Antenatal steroids for fetal lung development.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
