What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After 8 Weeks Of Abortion?

My wife had a medical abortion 8 weeks ago. She bled for 4 weeks then gradually it stopped and then had brown discharges. Then after a week or two she had heavy bleeding or i should say the bleeding came back, she bled for almost a week and had a brown discharges again. And then now she had a bright red discharge. Is it normal? what s happening to her or inside her womb?

Understand your concern.
Vaginal bleeding after 8 week is not normal.
Generally bleeding may remain up to 7 days after abortion.
There may be possibility of ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy and incomplete abortion
You should consult the gynecologist and get the following tests:
Pelvic examination, USG to confirm the above causes.
Ectopic pregnancy can be managed by surgery and blood transfusions
Incomplete abortion by surgical procedure
