What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse Post LASH Surgery?
I had a Laparoscopic Assisted Supracervical Hysterectomy 4 years ago but now I m having bleeding after sex. This is rather disconcerting. It occurred last year and my GYN used silver nitrate on my cervix but the fact that it s occurring again is worrisome. Without the benefit of examining me, would you think another round of silver nitrate would be indicated or might a trachelectomy be in order? The fact that the bleeding is occurring each time I have sex makes me want the cervix out. What do you think?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns . Bleeding after intercourse can be due to local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer. You should get a pap smear, colposcopy and if required biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined and investigated. Further management has to be done accordingly. Repeated silver nitrate treatment or trachelectomy should not be done directly without ruling out carcinoma. Hope you found the answer helpful.
