Hello there, thanks for writing in. It is hard to say with certainty what's wrong without having clinically examined you and getting some lab tests.
Well, we need to see if you are spotting only from genital tract or you have an additional bleeding in
the urinary tract which may be due to
urinary tract infection or something else which needs to be diagnosed yet( as you have mentioned that you see
blood clots when you pee and haven't mentioned the source. Did you mean vaginal bleeding or blood in urine?)
Post coital bleeding can be due to cervical ( neck of the womb ) ulcers (
ectropion or erosion), any polyps ( endometrial or
fibroid ), infections of the genital tract, or cervical malignancies. This is so, if you noticed spotting soon after sex but if considerable time elapses between the sexual act and spotting, it probably is unrelated to the above mentioned causes and it could be due to
hormonal imbalances like in
polycystic ovaries. The treatment for both are very different.
And so I suggest you to see your OB/ GYN to evaluate you thoroughly and do the needful. But it certainly warrants a visit to your gynaecologist' s office. Hope this helps you. Take care.
