What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

I finished my period on Thursday and the blood clot came out. But when I was having sex yesterday I started bleeding again slightly. Should I try to clean myself out? using water or dousing? Should I see my doctor, I am still bleeding slightly when I pee but not full on.
