Though it is likely to be a continuation of your menstrual period, it remains to be seen if there are other causes like rupture of a cyst, polyp, tears, erosion of the cervix etc. Take absolute bed rest with elevation of foot end. Styptics can be of help to reduce the bleeding while help arrives. Do not exert. Maintain proper hydration. Avoid further intercourse until you are healed well. Hope this helps.
