Hi, my question is just a concern...I ended up with an STI and it was treated and all the symptoms went away and I recently had sex again and ended up bleeding during it and now, the next day I have a pink/yellow discharge. Could this have to do with the STI I previously had or is it common? I don't have the symptoms of an STI again and the discharge isn't watery like it was with the STI, it's a mucus type, also my period is due in one more week if that's important to know.
Hi! First I really wanted to know if you had both the treatment because in STI, the most important thing is taking both the medicine and not having contact during the medication. Second, I may understand that you are on the second phase of the cycle. During this stage, the discharge become more viscous due to the hormones. The fact that they are yellow, may be due to an infection. Regarding the bleeding, there many causes. May be due to a more forced intercourse, due to an infection or due to a polyp in the cervix. So, if you were my patient, I would highly recommend you a vaginal visit. Take care.
