Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You have undergone cervical encirclage to protect your
pregnancy from the weak mouth of the uterus.
You were bleeding continuously for about 8 days. This bleeding was considerable which brought your
haemoglobin from 12 to 6.5.
However, this bleeding was not associated with any pain in the uterus. Also both the babies were unaffected. This suggests that the placenta was lower down in front of the babies.
Such placenta when gets separated even little bit, the mother starts bleeding profusely. In advanced pregnancy, such condition is known as
placenta praevia. In twin pregnancy, since the placenta is large, it may encroach on the lower segment and start separating.
Ultrasonography would have shown the position of placenta. Even
ecosprin is also known to cause bleeding disorders.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Nishikant Shrotri
