What Causes Vaginal Bleeding In Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 11weeks and 2 days pregnant. I noticed blood yesterday morning (dark brown sticky), the flow has since increased considerably and the colour is now more reddish with clots/ chunks of about 1 cm seen occasionally. As of now the flow isn t as much as my normal period but increasing gradually and the other difficulties (lower back pain, lower stomach pain) are pretty much the same. We had visited the hospital yesterday and have a scan scheduled for tomorrow. I am on bed rest since coming back from the hospital yesterday.With the flow increasing and pain similar to the period I am extremely worried for my baby. Need your help to understand why this happens and is there anything that can be done to make the situation better?

hi you are having threatened abortion where the risk of miscarriage is increased. take inj proluton depot 500 mg stat and tab duphaston 10 mg twice a day. continue to be on strict bed rest no coitus and no lifting weight. get an ultrasound done to confirm the viability of the pregnancy. in case viable continue with the above medications till 18 weeks. take care all the best.
