What Causes Vaginal Bleeding On Genital Manipulation?

hi, i am 23 yrs and married. My periods ended on Saturday. I was having intercourse with my husband on Sunday night and when he used his fingers to put pressure on my vagina I started bleeding, which continued until Monday afternoon and stopped. i am in united states and i could get appointment with doctor on october 31, 2014. as this is first time i am tensed over this and would like to know If this is common or an emergency issue? please help..

Hello.

The mild vaginal bleeding can happen after genital manipulation due to dryness or due to rupture of hymen.This is usually a mild bleeding and is not worrisome.
