What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Post Unprotected Sex?

Hi, i got my depo 4-5 months ago and ive been having my period for almost 2 weeks. Recently after my period i had unprotected sex cause my partner and i decided to try. But a couple days like 3-4 days later i started to bleed and now im bleeding a lil heavy but my next period dont start till 11days from now? Is this normal? Can i get pregnant any time soon after this?

Hi,
Your current bleeding pattern is suggestive of hormone imbalance. Ovulation status has to be established to help plan for conception. You need to have a proper appraisal of the situation and get your cycles regularized to help conception. Please see a specialist for an evaluation and help plan further management. You should have a complete blood profile, urinalysis, trans-vaginal/pelvic sonogram and a hormone profile to assess the cause of this prolonged bleeding. Hope this helps.
