Hi doctor , I am sandy . I am having pcos problem . My doctor told me use duphaston for 15 to 25 th day of my cycle. I used for 3 cycles I got periods regularly but this time June 20th I got period and after 15 th day I started using duphaston tablet but I got vaginal bleeding (spotting) on 8 th July . What is the reason ? What I have to do ? Continue the tablet or discontinue ?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. What the doctor has prescribed for you to take Tablet.Duphaston is right. It is given to regularize your periods. One of the primary concerns about infertility in PCOS is irregular menstruation. If it is taken care to get it regularized, then there is chances of you ovulating in time and improvement in the chances of fertilization. Since you have only experienced spotting, it might be possible that you could have conceived. Kindly get your blood tested for beta-HCG and trans-vaginal ultrasound scan done to confirm it. Consult Gynecologist for proper advise on medication what needs to be taken and for proper management. Hope the information provided would be useful. Wish you all the best.
