What Causes Vaginal Discharge Along With Lower Back Pain?
Hi I have a salmon coloured discharge which has a chalky consistency. It had red specks in it but now it is turning into bright red blood after wiping it.I used a canistan pessery yesterday evening and didn't have any discharge until this afternoon I'm type 1 diabetic, I have high blood sugars and ketones. Is the bleeding anything to worry about I've got premature ovarian failure so don't have periods but for 2.5 weeks I've been taking microgynon due to not producing any estrogen Please advise. I have lower back pain and stomach pains
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The discharge associated with bleeding on wiping is most likely due to fungal infection of the vagina, which is common in diabetic patients. Till you are taking microgynon, spotting or bleeding due to it is unlikely. I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined internally, get a vaginal swab examination done to confirm the diagnosis and get appropriate treatment timely. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
