What Causes Vaginal Discharge When Diagnosed With Endometriosis?
I am having issues with a vaginal discharge. I have Endometriosis and I don t have a regular menstrual cycle, sometimes I ll have my menstrual cycle every other month and then sometimes it will skip two or three months and then I ll have a full week and 1/2 of a menstrual cycle but for about a 3 weeks now I ve been having a mucus like discharge that sometime still has a red tint to it as if I m starting my period or ending it, and occasionally it seems like blood clots . I have not been sexually active for over two years but I m still concerned that this may be something more than just an odd menstrual cycle that lasting too long.
By knowing your history endometriosis doesn't seem to be reason for your vaginal discharge. Pain can be because of endometriosis but doubtful.
In my opinion you should go for cervical check up with PAP SMEAR if needed colposcopy and outpatient Hysteroscopy to see your endometrium ( inner layer of uterus).
accordingly get treatment.
some infective pathology also can be a reason so get your vaginal culture sensitivity done.
No doubt issue needs to be addressed.
hope this helps. Regards, Dr Tejashree Bhor Gynaecologist, Pune
