What Causes Vaginal Dryness After Using Hair Removal Cream On Vagina?

I used a hair removal cream on my vagina last Tuesday. During the application some of the cream spread on the inside of my vagina. I immediately washed the area after it started to sting. Since then my vagina has been very dry, even when aroused and during sex the area was not lubricating naturally. My vagina appears besides that. What should I do to get back to normal? Thanks
