What Causes Vaginal Irritation After Shaving?

Okay. It s kinda embarrassing. I ve had to leave my vagina (from shaving) for a week due to rashes&irritation after shaving. Anyway. Lately I ve been getting a really irritated and itchy vagina. It s also around my clitoris area, and it sounds silly but its also a slight pain to touch. My clitoris is ridiculously swollen and red, and I can t sleep properly because of it. Also, Of course I ve done things but I am a virgin. So it isn t to do with inter course.

Hi,

The problem you have after shaving must be due to already existing yeast infection of vagina and clitoris (it's due to bad genital hygiene) and the genital parts being injured while shaving leading to swelling, itching of the most delicate and vascular part of the vagina and clitoris.

You need oral antifungal medications and anti-inflammatory drugs with a gynecologist advise.
