Hi I have recently been to the doctor regarding vaginal irritation. He swabed for all STD's including Genital Herpes. I have never had such pain and irritation before (I am 34). I did suspect that I had a yeast infection and douched with !0 drops of Tea tree oil and 20cc water. Is it possible that the irritation and pain could have been caused by a mucus membrane burn from the Tea tree Oil? I did not form blisters but the doctor did say he saw a small canker like sore which he swabbed for Herpes. Can a burn from the Tea Tree oil cause sores on the outside of the vagina?
