What Causes Vaginal Pain With Frequent Urination?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I have been married for 5 years and just found out my husband has been having an affair. We had sex 3 weeks ago and after I feel like I have to pee and my vagina hurts. My urine also smells funny. Do I have something he gave me. I'm so embarrassed.

Hello,

I can understand your concern for vaginal pain with frequent urination after the intercourse. it is pretty common to get any infection in vagina and also urinary tract infection after intercourse.

Females have higher propensity for the infection in vagina and also urinary tract infection after intercourse because of their anatomical structure and therefore can get inflammation of vagina, urethra and then the urinary tract.

I suggest you to meet sexually transmitted disease specialist and get yourself examined for culture and sensitivity of the urine as well as related tests. It will tell us the exact organism causing the problem. A course of sensitive antibiotic can be given according to the culture and sensitivity of the urine.
