Hello there, thanks for writing in.
There could be these reasons why you are spotting.
1. Sometimes it is not unusual to experience spotting at the time of ovulation which is about 2 weeks from last menstrual period. This is accompanied by menstrual like cramps in the lower abdomen and mild discomfort and pain. This happens due to ovulation and called
Mittelschmerz. It generally lasts for a few hours to one day and comes down on its own and nothing needs to be done.
2. Or you could be spotting from your
cervix ( neck of the womb), or a polyp arising from uterine lining ( endometrium) or
fibroid for which you need to get examined by your OB/GYN.
3. Or it could be due to random event of intermenstrual spotting which if doesn't settle down by itself, needs medication to stop it. But I assure you that it is nothing to be worried about and is unlikely in your case and even otherwise needs only a short duration of medication.
Hope this little bit of information helped. Take care.
