What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Having Sex?

I had my period about two weeks ago. My fiance and I were intimate 3 days ago and since then I havd been spotting. Could this from a vaginal injury (though the intercourse was not rough) or could it be due to ovulation? My periods are normally on a 28 day cycle, but I also have pcos.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. As you have had your last menstruation two weeks ago, this is the time for 28-day-cycle lady to ovulate. So it could be just ovulation spotting and there is nothing to worry about. As far as you are comfortable and not experiencing any other symptoms, you can ignore it.

If the spotting keeps continuing or you develop any other symptoms, you should consult a gynecologist for physical examination and further investigations.
