What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Using Vagisil Cream?
I have used Vagisil cream this morning for the first time externally and have just notices a small amount of blood on the liner in my underwear. I have just read some further information about this product and don t like what I have read, in that it actually numbs the area rather than soothes the itchiness.
Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Vagisil cream is an anesthetic cream used to relieve pain and itching on mucosal surfaces of the body including mouth, vagina and rectum. It is not intended for treatment of itching. It just blocks nerve fibers locally to make that part insensitive for pain. You have not mentioned for what reason you had used Vagisil cream. If you are using it for vaginal irritation due to friction during sexual intercourse then there is chances of more imflammation and irritation due to application of the cream. If you had intercourse or there is some another cause of vaginal friction then there may be chances of bleeding from the irritated surface. I think same happened in your case. So I advice to avoid further friction and irritation to the vaginal surface for some days to have proper healing. Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care. Thank you.
