What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Mild Abdominal Cramps Post Menopause?
I am 62, and female. I haven t had a menstual cycle for at least 10 years. On Wednsday (9/13/17) I had some spotting on my panty liner. When I got up this morning I again had some. It is hit or miss with the spotting. And it s always just a very small amount. Today I started having the nausea, and a little crampy that goes along with having a menstrual cycle. What could be going on now?
Spotting is usually due to polyp either in the cervix or the cervical canal. Abdominal cramps with vaginal spotting can be due to the endometrial lining of the uterus getting thinner (atrophy) or thick (hyperplasia), cancer or STD infections, herpes sores causes bleeding.
Visit your gynecologist & get examined, you will need to go through some screening tests to detect the developing pathology if any. No worries, you can be treated with medications, but you may require surgery. Get treated at the earliest.
