What Causes Vaginal Spotting Before Periods?

Hi Ive been spotting before my period ( light pink) i thought it was my period at first. its been going on and off and it doesnt fill up a tampon. One the 30th it stopped ..thats when we had sex. the next day it started again. its been a month now. Could i be pregnant ? Is this normal? what could of caused this? And when should i take a pregnancy test? This never happened to me before. Yes this would be my first child if i am pregnant.

Irregular bleeding and spotting can be due to pregnancy or hormonal disturbance. I will suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done. If negative, then you should get your thyroid, Prolactin hormone levels done and an ultrasound of the pelvis to confirm the diagnosis and get further treatment accordingly.
