Hi, I am a Gynaecologist and have understood your question.
Little spotting in bwtween the menses while on birth controll pills is known. This is called as 'Break through blrrding'.
Birth controll pills act by regularising the levels of hormones Oestrogen and
Progesterone to such a level that the egg formation is prevented and/or the lining of the
uterus (Endometrium) is developed in such a way that it is not conducive for
implantation of the fertilized ovum.
Within certain range of levels of these hormones, the lining of the uterus can hold and is nurtured. If the levels go below that reange or even above the range, the endometrium breaks to such an extent that remaining endometrium will be supported by the
hormonal levels. The pills, particularly those which have more progesterone sometimes fail to maintain the levels to maintain the lining of the uterus. Then small amount of the bleeding or spotting takes place. There is nothing alaming about such spotting. If such spotting or bleeding is causing inconvinience, then on that day if you take two tablets, the bleeing will stop. Then you can go back to the original dose.
I hope I have answered your querry to your satisfaction. If you need any further information, you can anytime get back to me.
Wish you a good spooting free health.
