What Causes Vaginal Spotting?

I am 45yrs old and I am Taking Lindynette 20 as my contraceptive pill. My period started on the 22nd Nov and I started taking the pill on the 25th,this is the 1st pk I was taking since August, because I was not sexually active,My husband will be coming home around the 14th Dec,that s why I started back the pill. I however noticed today 30th Nov,That I am spotting,I am a bit concerned. What could be the cause for this? Will the spotting occur throughout the month until my period comes back?

you are taking Lindynette tablet. it is Ethinyl estradiol used as oral contraceptive pill. as per your description, you are not taking tablet regularly. you are using the same first pack from august to november.
the common side effect of this drug is change in mood, breast pain, headache, nausea etc.
regarding your query about spotting,it is uncommon side effect of these drug. if you are getting any spotting while using tablet ehinyl estradiol immediately consult the doctor to take medical advice.
