I had a negative pregnancy test no period for two months and I just felt something drop in the toilet when I looked it was a mucuse blood clot when I wiped there was no blood after paper was clean. What can this be? I have no pain I feel normal. I took a picture to show my doctor just in case. Cervical cancer runs in my family.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease. If you have negative urine pregnancy test, then pregnancy is ruled out. However, spotting can be due to hormonal disturbances or due to local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including hormonal profile, pap smear and ultrasound and get appropriate treatment. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
