What Causes Vertigo After My Retinal Detachment Surgery?

I m just wondering why I have issues with vertigo after my retinal detachment surgery? Is this common.? Hoping it goes away soon! My job as a kindergarten teacher involves lots of quick movements! I can deal with all the vision issues but the dizziness is driving me crazy! My surgery was 2 weeks ago. I have a gas bubble plus a sclera buckle.

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having vertigo and dizziness following a retinal detachment surgery.
This can be because of secondary raise of intraocular pressure following the surgery. This requires treatment by the use of anti-glaucoma drugs and anti-inflammatory medications.
Do consult your doctor for evaluation to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
With regards
