What Causes Vertigo And Swollen Legs Post Ziac Withdrawal?

I quit taking ziac (lowest dose), blood pressure pill, one week ago. I tapered down by taking it every other day for one week. Stopped last Thursday. I was on pill for 9 months. I stopped due to having fatigue, low pulse 38-50 when resting, 32-48 when sleeping, overall felt bad. Currently having vertigo, clamy hands, swelling more in legs, blood pressure 100/60-125/86 range, pulse 53-78 resting, sleeping 53-65. Is there a need for concern? How do I treat vertigo, swelling in legs? How long will this vertigo last?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The underlying cause of vertigo is a matter of concern and it has to be treated. Most of the time, vertigo could be due to vestibular dysfunction and it can be managed with Betahistine tablet.

The swelling has to be ruled out w.r.t. renal disease or cardiovascular events. The given reading of pulse and blood pressure may be a matter of concern, but it has to be confirmed once with a physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know for further assistance.
