What Causes Very Often Loose Stool With History Of Bowel Resections?

I have had 3 bowel resections in the past year. After a colostemy reversal in June, I have been having a lot of problems with my bowel movements...mostly real loose and very often, especially after I eat but Im gaining weight, why is that? And should I still have such issues with my bowel movements?

You may have a problem absorbing nutrients or fluids, depending on which section of the bowel was removed. You should check with your doctor to see if he/she recommends a special diet for you to follow, given your condition. Fiber can also help bulk up stool and prevent diarrhea, but again, check with your doctor to make sure that is approved.
