Hi, i have a 2 yr old daughter and since she has been born she has been completely closed down there... no vagina opening, and i know that that on Friday it was still closed during a diaper change and today during a diaper change i noticed she actualy has a hole now. She is my first daugther, i have 2 very young sons as well (5 & 7); and i just want some comfort that nothin gbad has happened to her. she has only been with me and my sister had her day before yesturday. there does not seem to be tears or reddness or anything, but it was very alarming to see a hole when usually there is not one :( please advise...

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

There is nothing to worry in this. It is normal for vaginal opening to be visible on parting the labia apart. If there is no pain/discharge, no reason to worry.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
