Hello,

The vision distortion your mother has can be due to depression or fear of leading to hallucinations in older people due to degenerative changes in the nervous or vascular system, and ophthalmic diseases.

Weakness and vitamin deficiencies are due to antibiotics. She needs an expert advise (neurologist/ ophthalmologist or psychologist). Supplements of vitamin A, B-complex helps, especially B12 would.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
